  13. processing of network protocols. Since the majority of the protocol processing
  14. is taken over by the intelligent Ethernet controller, the 80386-based SCO XENIX
  15. host is freed to perform the tasks for which it was designed. In addition,
  16. network throughput is increased through use of a powerful, dedicated network
  17. processor, streamlined TCP/IP protocols and interfaces and maximum use of the
  18. network bandwidth

  21. and programming interfaces of the Berkeley 4.3 BSD operating system for the SCO
  22. XENIX environment. The most popular applications such as Telnet, FTP, rlogin,
  23. rcp, remsh, rwho, talk, network mail using SMTP and sendmail, and Domain Name
  24. Service are included. Finally, a comprehensive socket library is provided in
  25. the form of C language subroutines to facilitate development of applications
